BENTONVILLE -- A woman from New York City pops in once in a while at The Cottage of Bentonville.Business owner Connie McManus said the woman has relatives in Bentonville and guesses the woman represents a Wal-Mart supplier."She noticed our sign from the square. Our sign is hot pink and black. She was coming out of The Station Cafe and happened to look down the street" and found The Cottage, McManus said. Not many tourists visit The Cottage, McManus said, but this could change in March when her business will be listed among more than 25 others in a discount brochure from the Bentonville Convention and Visitors Bureau. The bureau has partnered with various businesses -- including gift shops, restaurants, clothing boutiques, hair salons and day spas -- to develop a brochure that offers travelers discounts on products and services.McManus and her business partner, Dianna Dobbs, will have a coupon worth 15 percent off a gift purchase in the brochure.

79th Annual Academy Awards Fashion Review

Color, color, color; the theme of the 79th Annual Academy Awards seemed to be anything but black. Gowns ranged from the lightest blush to deep fuchsia and what a welcome change. Other trends seen on the red carpet were stacked bracelets, button earrings, red lipstick and wavy 1940’s style hair.

2007 Oscar Fashion
Let’s do what the Oscars did not and start with the top awards while everyone is still awake. Among the best of the evening was Penelope Cruz in Versace. The blush strapless dress had a fitted bodice and beautiful seaming. The train was feather-like. Penelope’s dark hair was pulled back into a bun with a braid. She wore large floral diamond button earrings. The look screamed star. Helen Mirren was another standout in Christian Lacroix. The neckline was cut just perfectly.

Hair-raising bid for Britney's locks?

Prankster Mark Snubbs was inundated with bids when he put a lock of his hair up for sale and claimed it came from Britney Spears.

The 23- year-old's lot attracted 60,000 hits from the singer's fans on auction site eBay. After accepting a bid of £499, the mobile phone dealer from Cheltenham, contacted the buyer to own up.

"I said on eBay that my American uncle picked up the hair from outside the salon in LA," he said.

"I couldn't sell my hair for £499 it's not even the same colour as Britney's."
